FIRST CHOCOALATE CHIP COOKIE EVER MADE!

The cookie had it’s humble origins in the Toll House restaurant near Boston, when owner Ruth Wakefield invented the very first “toll house” cookies with chopped-up bits of a Nestle’s chocolate bar.

So warm up your oven, call some friends over and get ready to bake the yummiest cookies you’ll ever taste!

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cuprs of plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of softened butter
  • 3/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup of brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon water
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cup of chocolate morsels [good quality chocoloate chips :)]
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped nuts

Preheat over to 375 F

Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside. Combine butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and water. Beat till creamy. Beat in eggs. Add flour. Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by well rounded half teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes! Makes 100 two inch cookies!
