So, it’s been alsmot 10 years since the British brats last topped the charts! But it seems girl power is still alive and kicking!

No less than 15,000 girls - and a few boys - attended their opening concert in Vancouver! Wow!!
The crowd went wild when the girls appeared on individual go-go platforms kit out in metallic Cavalli-designed costumes and launched into their athem, Spice Up Your Life!

They may be cheesy, tacky and kitcshy but it’s still working. Many fans were dressed up as their favourite Spice character, with lots of union jacks, blonde pigtails and leopard print on display. They went crazy for merchandise, with t-shirts going for $40 and one vendor jumping up on the table threatening to close shop is fans didn’t get back!!!

The concert was a huge success probably because the girls didn’t live up the caricutures of themselves that we’ve come to know through the media but instead were the same girls we knew 10 years ago, just a little older!
